The meeting point for city-to-city interaction

The Exhibition at the ICLEI World Congress 2015 was the main place for local governments to meet with other cities and consult with experts. The exhibition provided participants with unique and diverse networking opportunities with global partners and leading cities. The exhibition, housed next to the main plenary room at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), was an innovative space that fostered a collaborative atmosphere.

The ICLEI World Congress 2015 Exhibition will feature:

  • The ICLEI Lounge: The ICLEI Lounge was designed for mingling, networking, and facilitating dialogue in smaller groups. The ICLEI Lounge was the ideal place and atmosphere to continue the exchanges kicked off during plenaries and sessions on a more personal level.
  • City Poster Exhibition: ICLEI was proud to present over 60 city posters that demonstrate the wide variety of recent initiatives and successful achievements of local governments and ICLEI Members from around the world which are committed towards achieving sustainability. The 2015 Seoul Climate Change Exhibition also featured mostly at Art Hall 2, DDP:

  • Seoul Pavilion: The city of Seoul showcased values and goals of its best environmental practices to mitigate climate change such as ‘One Less Nuclear Power Plant’ with local governments from around the world in this pavilion.
  • Climate Change Pavilion: Climate change Pavilion provided an opportunity for visitors to understand more about climate change – why it happens, what the problems are and what we should expect from the change – and the efforts from the international community to overcome the challenges.
  • Green Industry & Technology Pavilion: This pavilion exhibited latest eco-friendly technologies and green products to address climate change problems in Seoul from various field such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management, air quality management and green transportation.

One exhibition of Seoul Climate Change Exhibition was held at Seoul Plaza from 10:00 am:

  • Eco Movement Pavilion: Eco Movement Pavilion presented experience and participatory programs from environmental and civic organizations for citizens to apply such programs to their lifestyle. Visitors had various opportunities for to participate in activities such as making upcycled products, calculating CO2 footprint and learning about urban farming.
