The Chinese government plans to attract a further 100 million people to urban areas in the next 7 years. This sub-plenary will highlight how Chinese cities plan to address the needs of underserved populations in terms of encouraging social stability, providing basic living standards and strengthening the use of land, resource efficiency and environmental quality.
